It was 10 years ago today...
Ten years ago to the day my divorce was final and I started to live again! :) Looking back over the past ten years it has been tough and easy. I wouldn't trade a second of it... well, except maybe that little argument with Michael in Los Angeles. LOL My ex-wife told me I wouldn't be able to make it without her handling the money, etc. Ten years later, yes, I owe way too many people, but life is damn good! Here is to ten more years!

Happy Independence Day!
I'm spending my first July 4th in Washington, DC. It should be really cool tonight for the fireworks, etc. I really want to go visit all the war memorials, particularly the newer ones that have been built since the last time I was here in high school.
Right now I'm attending the National Education Association Representative Assembly. For the most part it is pretty boring, voting on resolutions, politics and what not, but hey, I got a free trip out of it. Highlight of the trip is going to be my very first visit to a Madame Tussaud's House of Wax. That is going to be pretty cool. Well y'all, I'm out for now. Special thanks go out to those men and women serving or who have served in any branch of our nation's military. Thanks for making the lives we have as Americans possible.

Just like have a new car
I got my beloved '99 Miata (aka Roxanne) painted. I just got it back today. OMG! It's like having a brand new car! She is so red now! I'm sure I will be getting a speeding ticket any day now. I just love that car. It has 125k on it, gets 30 mpg, and doesn't burn a drop of oil. You can't beat that. It's hard to beat anything japanese for that matter. I tell you one thing though. I'll never own another red car again. The paint fades on them so easily. I also will never own another convertible. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to put the top down from time to time, but my God, the top gets slit open and broken into all the time. I usually don't even lock my doors anymore. I do love that car though. I bought it right after my divorce because my ex-wife always wanted a red convertible with a black top. lol I always refer to Roxy as my second wife.
